Our Organization

Nowadays, we are experiencing many calamities and it affects our environment big time. One of the factors that cause these calamities is improper waste management. It is the improper disposal of trash and other hazardous chemicals that also causes climate change in our community. This kind of problem occurs because of the ignorance and laziness of the people to do the right thing like segregating their trash, making sure where to throw their garbage, and not being aware that even the small trash that is being thrown anywhere can create and might start a disaster.

This is what our group wants to focus with. We want to raise awareness about this issue in the locality of General Santos City. Last April 22, 2019, Datu Tungko Saikol, assistant regional director of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 12(DENR-12), said that improper waste disposal involving human wastes, industrial and household wastes has continued to be a major concern for Sarangani Bay. Although this can be solved by the government, our group still wants to help because the practice of having this habit, the proper waste disposal starts within ourselves and we want to raise awareness and inform those who are not aware and even those who already knew, because our community is getting worst and the issue of improper waste disposal still needs a lot of attention and the change starts within ourselves.
